# About Magnolia Brandywine

Magnolia Brandywine is a former competitive gamer turned mixologist and the author of Drinking Dranks.

She writes recipes for drinks that do not, technically, exist — Butterbeer from the Three Broomsticks, Nuka-Cola Quantum from the Fallout wasteland, Lon Lon Milk from Hyrule, and other beverages she insists she encountered during her travels. Every recipe is a working cocktail made from real ingredients, wrapped in the backstory food blog readers already expect: childhood memories, domestic asides, arguments with her husband Mark, the exact shade of a cream soda at the bottom of a glass mug.

The site treats fictional universes as real places and reports from them accordingly. The drinks are real. The stories are sincere. The 2,000-word preambles are non-negotiable.
